In order to operate safely a few things may be different to your 'pre-Covid' Rumsey's experience.
Hand sanitiser is provided at the entrance and in various areas inside and outside. Please make use of this, or use your own.
Tables have been arranged to ensure social distances of at least 1m (2m wherever possible). Please do not rearrange furniture, for the time being it will not be possible to push tables together etc.
Please wait at the indicated place to be seated by one of our team, this is important to ensure we can clean the table, chairs, trays and menus between each customer.
It will be entirely table service: from ordering right through to payment. We request that you stay seated as much as possible whilst with us to avoid bottlenecks.
In line with the Government's track and trace procedure we will be taking contact details for a lead member of the party, unless you are able to scan the NHS track and trace QR code. These will be kept secure for 21 days, and not used for marketing purposes.
No table bookings are being taken, there will be a queuing system outside during busy times. Please ensure you do not block doorways.
Our customer toilets will be open to eat in customers only. They will be cleaned at least every hour.
No customer chocolate making courses or kids parties will be run currently. All expiry dates on vouchers and bookings will be extended indefinitely.
Card only (and contactless payment preferred). We will not be accepting cash at this time.
Face coverings are mandatory (unless you are exempt) when in the chocolaterie unless you are seated at a table. Please ensure you wear one when ordering takeaway and whenever you get up from the table.
In line with government guidelines our team are also wearing face coverings in public areas.
Please bear with us, it's new to us all and our priority is to keep our team and guests safe.
We are still also operating chocolate sales through our website to help us ensure that you can still enjoy a Rumsey’s experience during this uncertain time, or send it to friends and loved ones. Our postal deliveries are sent first class, this ordinarily arrives next day, but due to the evolving nature of the current situation, your delivery may take longer than planned.
